![]() ![]() Where once there was over 300,000 dislikes on the YouTube video, the number dropped down to 200,000 Saturday afternoon. Now it seems things have gotten even worse, as there are now reports that dislikes are being removed from the Diablo Immortal trailer. Since most of the comments were negative in nature, someone was trying to hide that fact. ![]() Fans were letting Blizzard know that this is not the Diablo product they were hoping for and the developer was working hard to scramble.įirst, there were claims that Blizzard was deleting comments from the YouTube page in order to paint a certain picture. Shortly after the Diablo Immortal announcement, the YouTube page for the trailer was bombarded with negative comments and an overwhelming amount of dislikes. Now it appears that someone or some entity is removing dislikes from the Cinematic Trailer for Diablo Immortal on YouTube. This didn’t deserve that level of promotion. As if the story surrounding Diablo Immortal couldn’t get any stranger, a new wrinkle has entered the fold. I think when it all comes down to it, it’s the choice of venue for the announcement that annoyed people. Had Blizzard announced this game at any other juncture, for example piggy-backing off an Intel or AMD event, people wouldn’t have minded as much. I’m still a bit aghast at the audacity of the “You got mobile phones right?” comment. Giving us no news on Diablo 4, they instead expected us to get really excited about a mobile version of the game. I think the biggest mistake Blizzard made here was the hype behind the announcement. So how exactly did Blizzard go wrong with this? What Went Wrong? This easily puts it into one of the worst rated videos on the hosting platform. ![]() That’s A Lot Of Thumbs DownĪt the time of writing, while the video does have 23,000 likes, it also has 613,000 disliked. It seems though that the dislike of the announcement has translated onto the YouTube video with it currently being down votes by over 600,000 people. This was, after all, the ‘finale’ of their opening. I don’t even think it’s the announcement as such, it’s the hype that they built up around it. I’m not quite as ardently hateful of it as some people, but I think we can all agree that in terms of a ‘big announcement’ Blizzard screwed up with this. ![]() When Diablo Immortal was announced at Blizzcon, many people, including myself were very unhappy.
